Just a snapshot of the painting I just finished. The inspiration for this painting began with the tremors and volcanic activity on El Hierro in 2011, and what is still going on (earthquake-report.com/2011/09/25/el-hierro-canary-islands...) My mother, Joke Volta, makes pictures every day for the site earthquake report, to follow the status of the eruption... The colors there led me to this painting, ending in a dragon shape bursting out of the lava.... I am currently preparing for an exhibition from 16 may - 9 june 2012 in the 't Kunstuus in Heinkenszand (NL) (www.kunstuus.nl) So more new paintings need to be made, but inspiration enough around in the world...A snapshot of the latest work finished
